Palisades Insurance Announces Jersey Diner's Choice Awards Grand Prize Winner

-- Carolina Concepcion of Little Silver, New Jersey Receives a $5,000 Lifetime of Dining in New Jersey Card --

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ – Jan. 6, 2011 – Palisades, the Nice New Jersey car insurance company, is proud to announce that Carolina Concepcion of Little Silver, New Jersey has been selected as the winner of a $5,000 Lifetime of Dining with a NJ Diner's Gift Card, as part of the first-ever Palisades "Jersey Diner's Choice Awards."

“The Palisades Jersey Diner’s Choice Awards program was a lot of fun for everyone involved,” said Ed Fernandez, president and CEO of Palisades. “We’ve accomplished our goal of helping New Jersey residents remember what they love about our state and bringing smiles to their faces. I’d like to be among the first to congratulate Carolina Concepcion and thank everyone who participated.”

From Oct. 21 until Dec. 7, New Jersey residents logged on to Palisades.com to nominate and vote for their favorite New Jersey diners in eight fun categories – Best Burgers, Best Breakfast, Best Fries, Best Salads, Best Cakes & Pies, Best Specials, Most Jersey and Nicest. Those who also requested an auto insurance quote from Palisades.com were entered into a drawing to win a Lifetime of Dining Gift Card, worth $5,000. Purchase of a policy was not required to enter or win this drawing.

The Palisades "Jersey Diner's Choice Awards" is part of the Palisades Drive with a Smile initiative, a program designed to remind drivers about the best the Garden State has to offer and create nicer New Jersey driving moments and more smiles all around. The program kicked off in the summer of 2009 with the Palisades Highway Art Gallery competition and continued into winter 2009 with the "What Drives Your Holiday Smile?" photo contest.
